RRS Recovery Truck from Recovery World

RRS Recovery Truck from Recovery World

Although it was a mere 4 years ago that Anthony and Becky Sparrow started RRS Recovery Services, the business has grown to such a degree that RRS had to open a second branch at Goole to cope with the growing workload.

The main RRS depot is based in York and currently runs a fleet of 14 trucks. Even from the early days, the company picked up occasional recovery jobs in the Goole area where directors Anthony and Becky live. Last year RRS won several new contracts in the Goole area, and it was stretching resources to manage this growing side of the business from the York depot.

A new manager, Barry Horrobin was appointed and 2 additional members of staff were recruited to run the new depot which opened just before Christmas 2010. As there was no spare vehicle capacity at York, Anthony called Mac at Recovery World and purchased additional trucks for the new depot. The new fleet consists of an 18 tonne DAF Hiab, a twin deck crew cab transporter, and a Mitsubishi L200 support vehicle.

Commented Anthony, “We’re delighted how far we have come in four years. We now have a great team and haven’t cut any corners, and as a result, RRS has established a reputation throughout Yorkshire for reliability and a high quality service. We’re really looking forward to the future as the new depot means we can continue to grow the business without compromising the quality of the service we provide, not only in Yorkshire, but throughout the Humberside area as well.”
