Over 400 attendees flock to the Cloud Computing World Forum Middle East and Africa
The Cloud Computing World Forum Middle East and Africa in Dubai received unprecedented attendance yesterday, with more than 400 people visiting the event to discuss and share their knowledge of IT’s latest revolution.11 exhibitors demonstrated their products in the networking area including OnApp, Alpha Data, Intelegencia, Meghanine and Commvault.
Mark Johnstone, Show Director said, "the event was a great success with a fantastic reaction to the agenda we put together. We are already planning for the follow-up 2012 event, which we anticipate will double in size."
The event saw speakers from across the continent come together to discuss approaches to the cloud, security and the future of cloud computing, among other topics. Highlights included Wyse Technology’s Director of Marketing David Angwin’s talk on the steps organizations in the Middle East can take for a cloud-based future, and how desktop virtualization can provide a critical bridge in the journey.
The agenda also included a number of high-profile case studies presenting how the cloud has worked for them, how it has been integrated and the strengths and weaknesses of strategies adopted.
The Cloud Computing World Series now moves on to London where it will host the 3rd Cloud Computing World Forum on the 21st and 22nd of June at Olympia. The event is in its third year and it is expected that over 2,500 attendees will visit over two days.
