New website for leading waste recycling company goes live

Chatham-based Netsite has completed a new website for one of the country’s leading waste and recycling companies.

The new site www.nordicrecycling.co.uk showcases the wide range of services that Nordic Recycling Ltd, a company based in Kent and Essex, offers including waste management, waste treatment and recycling.

A spokesperson for Nordic said: “The priority was for customers to be able to go on to the website and easily discover the ways in which our services could assist their business, whether that company was a small corner shop or a blue-chip, large corporation. We also wanted to make potential new customers aware that Nordic has expanded its waste management operations from mainly paper-based activities to the full range of general and hazardous waste services, offering these on a national basis.”

Nordic, which also uses Netsite’s web hosting service, wanted to be able to update the site in-house so asked for Zestos, an easy-to-use content management system, to enable staff to update and amend text as well as images quickly and easily.

Netsite, which is based at the Historic Dockyard, has been working with Nordic for over a decade and created the company’s very first website. The new site uses blue and red from Nordic’s logo to create an eye-catching London skyline design that is clear and easy to navigate. A map on the home page puts across the message that Nordic offers a nationwide service and, to give an interactive feel, a quick-loading flash video showing how waste is separated using state-of-the art machinery at Nordic’s Tilbury Docks plant has been incorporated.

Netsite Managing Direct Paul Duthoit added: “Nordic is one of our longest-standing customers so we were delighted to create a new website with them that reflects the company’s success and growth and should help attract even more customers.”

Nordic is owned by Forth Ports PLC, the largest ports company listed on the London Stock Exchange. This provides the company with a unique set of capabilities in relation to the collection, recycling and treatment of domestic materials and the imports and export of bulk materials via an extensive ports network in England and Scotland.

Netsite offers a range of services from bespoke website design through to content managed e-recruitment systems. The company was established 12 years ago and has clients including the NHS, The Charity Commission, Crewsaver and The Historic Dockyard Chatham.
