Launch of a turn key Green Securitization / Green Bond issuing and listing platform

On the occasion of the Climate Bonds Initiative Annual Conference held in London, the Luxembourg-based company Luxinvest Securities S.A announced the launch of its turn key securitization platform dedicated to the issuance and listing of Green Securitizations by institutions looking to raise debt capital for eligible projects in compliance with the ICMA Green Bond Principles (GBP) and the CBI Climate Bond Standards.

The two initiators, Jacqueline Geisen and Alain Mestat, both Luxembourg Nationals, combine their complementary and extensive expertise with this innovative platform to accelerate green securitization transactions in order to play a predominant role in propelling new funding opportunities for green projects. Institutions today are under ‘Green pressure’ to prove they are responsible global citizens. Issuing bonds that fund sustainable, climate-friendly projects allows them to reap those benefits while future-proofing their operations and infrastructure’ says Alain Mestat who has over 25 years of experience within the financial industry, having worked for the Edmond de Rothschild Group and currently heading several boutique advisory firms which he co-founded.

‘What we offer potential green issuers does not currently exist anywhere else in the market. Luxinvest Securities S.A. is a full service Luxembourg securitization vehicle under which issuer can ‘rent’ a segregated compartment to issue their green securities. We handle all preliminaries of a green certification i.e. we support clients with establishing their green framework appointing an External Reviewer and provide hands on guidance until obtaining a green certification. Furthermore, we handle the submission of the listing application and admission to the relevant Green Stock Exchange.
 Finally we monitor ongoing obligations such as post issuance reporting making sure that the Green Bonds retain their certification.
