At the 77th Auto Salon in Geneva ( 8 March to 18 March) the partners will disclose the first world presentation of a CNG-powered Opel Corsa.
The environment friendly vehicle impressively shows the current state-of-the-art regarding CNG propulsion and packaging.

• 1.6 ecotec engine with monovalent plus propulsion
• 74 kW (100 bhp), Vmax 190 km/h
• Mileage 710 km (CNG 510, petrol 200 km)
• Co2 emission 117 grams/km only

Die BRA GmbH aus Schweinfurt (Deutschland) ist seit über zehn Jahren einer der technologisch führenden Entwickler von umweltfreundlichen Fahrzeugkonzepten. Der Fokus der bayerischen Innovationsschmiede liegt auf dem wirtschaftlichen und nutzerfreundlichen Einsatz von Erdgas bei PKWs. Die Entwicklungen der BRA wurden bereits mehrfach ausgezeichnet - zuletzt mit dem Innovationspreis der deutschen Gaswirtschaft im Oktober 2006.
Der Corsa CNG ist bereits das zweite gemeinsame Projekt von GVM, Opel und BRA. Hierbei war BRA sowohl für die Konstruktion und Integration des Packagekonzeptes als auch für die Anpassung des Serien-CNG-Motors und der Fahrzeugelektronik in der neuen Karosserieplattform verantwortlich. Es kam eine neuentwickelte Befestigungstechnik für die Behälter zum Einsatz, die eine nutzraum- und nutzlastneutrale Unterbringung im Fahrzeug ermöglicht.
