WALLINGFORD, CT – MARCH 8, 2011 – Fitness trainer Tony Horton, creator of “P90X® Extreme Training System,” will lead an open workout Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Fitness Atlantic Event. 
The Fitness Atlantic is one of the largest fitness events in New England held at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Connecticut.  The event brings together the Best of the Best in Male and Female Fitness and Sports Modeling in different categories competing for the richest title in the sport earning "Pro Status."  Participants come from all over America to compete for the prestigious titles offered and the opportunity to shoot with some of the most published fitness photographers in the country. 

Since 1999, the Fitness Atlantic event provides fitness models of all types a chance to shine! With a consistently sold-out audience, national exposure and production standards designed to make every contestant feel like a star, the Fitness Atlantic show is like no other event in the Nation! “This is certain to be the most personally rewarding event an aspiring fitness model can enter,” said Brian Cannone. Tony is looking forward to working out, followed by a one hour Q&A and lastly an autographed session signing his new book “Bring It,” all while helping participants incorporate more fitness and motivation into their lives.    His P90X DVD’s emphasize “muscle confusion,” a method of cross training and periodization achieved through switching the order of exercises and incorporating new and varied movements. Muscle confusion supposedly prevents the body from adapting to exercises over time, resulting in continual improvement without plateaus. Open workout starts at 10 a.m. followed by a Q&A at 11:00 a.m. and autograph’s at 12:00 p.m.
