Where to Get a Good Jewellery Valuation

03-03-2011 12:40 PM CET | Business, Economy, Finances, Banking & Insurance

Press release from: chiltonsantiques

I just recently inherited some jewellery and needed to get a jewellery valuation for insurance purposes. I had never been through this process and was overwhelmed by the many jewellery valuators in Sydney. I wanted someone who was good, had a great understanding of jewellery and would give me an honest appraisal of my jewellery. I asked around and heard multiple friends mention Chilton’s Antiques in Bondi, although they are also located in Miranda. With these trusty recommendations I rang Chilton’s to discuss what I needed and what was involved in the process.

Elizabeth Stevens, Chilton’s fully qualified and registered valuer had the expertise and respect I was looking for. Her background and experience has amassed to her being one of the most knowledgeable valuers in Antique Jewellery and I felt confident that my jewellery was in very good hands.

Chilton’s offer multiple valuation services include probate (for estate division), insurance (for replacement value) and re-sale (the approximate price jewellery will sell for in the current market). Their charges for jewellery valuation were straight forward and outlined on their website (www.chiltonsantiques.com.au/valuations.html) which made things very easy. They provided me with a full jewellery valuation along with the valuation certificate that I needed for the insurance company.

I was extremely happy with the service received at Chilton’s and Elizabeth’s knowledge and expertise is outstanding. I would recommend her to anyone who is concerned about the treatment of their jewellery during valuation.

Call Chilton’s today - (02) 9524 0360 (Miranda) or (02) 9300 8617 (Bondi) - to organise your own jewellery valuation or visit their website to find out more www.chiltonsantiques.com.au. When it comes to your jewellery valuation only the best will do, and at Chilton’s they believe the same thing.

Vintage costume jewellery
Nothing livens up an outfit more than a piece (or pieces) of vintage costume jewellery which I found out when I wondered into Chilton’s Antiques at Bondi (they’re also located in Miranda) and walked out with costume jewellery from a bygone era. I felt like I had stepped back in time to the early twentieth century with my new vintage necklace and earrings, and I was reminded of my childhood
