Waste To Energy

Waste To Energy

Waste Management is a multi billion dollar, major global headache that affects not only the developing world economies but the industrialized world as well. Because of the complexities with disposing of our waste, it involves government on all levels. From capital, right down to municipal. In the industrialized world there is generally better infrastructure and regulations in place on how we may dispose of our waste. But typically we still bury the majority of our waste in landfills, which require large tracts of land.

Unfortunately the space in many large cities is running out, so landfills are a finite solution. We also burn it in incinerators, producing dangerous dioxins or other hazardous pollutants. Then there is the problem of disposing of hazardous and medical waste safely, which is also generally very costly. Even though stringent regulations are put in place on how we dispose of our waste, it is still very hard to police that this is done correctly.

On the other hand developing world economies often experience exhausted waste collection services, inadequately managed and uncontrolled dump sites. These problems are worsening and problems with governance only further complicate the situation. Waste management in these countries and cities is an ongoing challenge due to weak institutions, chronic under resourcing and rapid urbanization. All of these challenges, along with the lack of understanding of different factors that contribute to the hierarchy of waste management, affect the treatment of waste.

So waste is usually just dumped into open pits and left to breakdown into methane. A greenhouse gas that is considered 21 times more potent than carbon dioxide and Leachate, a toxic sludge. Or it is simply dumped into rivers and the sea, where it causes catastrophic damage to the ecosystem. Globally we are struggling to deal with this massive problem, even when you factor in global recycling projects. Currently we produce 2 – 2.5 billion tonnes globally of waste each year (5.48 – 6.85 million tonnes a day) and it is only going to get worse if we don't come up with a viable alternative.

Up to now, Waste to Energy projects have had varying degrees of success in disposing of waste efficiently. Especially when it comes to the disposal of hazardous and medical waste, which is very costly and time consuming. Also they have nearly always left behind quite a significant carbon foot print. More than ever the world urgently needs solutions to our growing waste problem, as well as sources of clean, renewable energy.

Zharbiz International is a privately held company and a Philippine Incorporated Consortium. We offer highly specialized consulting services for complete waste and energy solutions that will enhance strengths as well as mitigate vulnerabilities in the energy plan set forth by communities and businesses. Our consortium has over 15 years of experience in providing zero landfill solutions and renewable energy needs and strategies.

The patented and proprietary system to retrofit existing energy plants or can offer a complete turnkey solution from the ground up to convert waste into synthetic gas to produce power. This unique process is both cleaner and more efficient than other existing approaches and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 98% when compared to municipal solid waste in a landfill.
ZharBiz International next-generation MBT.GRE technology (Mechanical Biological Treatment – Green Renewable Energy) offers extremely cost effective solutions to meet our client’s needs with a variety of treatments for municipal solid waste, industrial waste, hazardous waste, and medical waste. Our technology transforms these unwanted materials into useful energy sources via one of the following processes:Tear, Press, Grind, Cut and Screen System. Removal of metallic materials from waste. Removal of inorganic, non-flammable materials from waste. Separation of organic rich substances from Municipal Solid Waste – Production of Methane Gas. Gasification system (Central Energy Source) – Production of Syngas. Pyrolysis system for medical and hazardous waste. SYNGAS and BIOGAS are now being transformed into usable energy with market-ready generators. At the end of this process, there is ZERO WASTE, which means NO LANDFILLS NEEDED

ZharBiz are committed to producing widespread environmental benefits – cleaner air, healthier oceans, reduced greenhouse gases, less waste and significant economic returns.

Our projects save up to 1.4 tons of CO₂ per ton of waste diverted and provide a clean and healthy means of disposing waste, bio-solids, and other organic components.

By generating energy from waste, our projects dramatically lower greenhouse gas emissions more effectively than solar or wind and produce lesser quantities of other pollutants.

They also enable the generation of green energy without added grid complexity or building redundant infrastructure.

Our projects save 1.1 tons of CO₂ relative to natural gas and 1.4 tons of CO₂ relative to coal.

They also eliminate methane emissions that are 21 times more harmful than CO₂.
