Cookzillas.com, a search engine dedicated exclusively to finding recipes, has announced today its beta launch. The search engine is powered by Google custom search, is free to use and it brings a breath of fresh air to the already crowded niche of food blogs, food networks and recipe websites.
The newly launched beta version of Cookzilas makes it easy for users to find recipes from all over the web containing specific ingredients, as well as exclude certain ingredients from the search results. Another interesting feature of this search engine is that it displays only results accompanied by images of the dish, recipe rating and cooking time.
The founder of this search engine is Eugenia Cosinschi, a tech entrepreneur from Romania. “I’m a fan of sites like FoodBuzz, KitchenDaily or TasteSpotting, but I found myself wasting a lot of time browsing through all of my favourite websites and trying to find a certain recipe. Most of the time, the search for a recipe takes longer than the actual cooking. So what’s a computer geek turned amateur chef to do? Build a recipe search engine, of course”, says Eugenia.
Food bloggers and recipe site owners can promote their content by submitting their websites to Cookzillas for indexing.
Cookzillas.com is a recipe search engine launched in February 2011. The engine is based on Google custom search and it allows visitors to look for recipes containing specific ingredients, as well as exclude ingredients from the search results. It displays recipe photo, cooking time and rating.
