Press release from: Costa de Valencia, S.L:

A Spanish school in Valencia organizes courses for future teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language.

Valencia. Being a Spanish native speaker doesn’t mean that you are able to teach your language. In order to teach a language, it is not only important to be a native speaker, but also to know how to teach it. Teaching a language requires a series of basic skills that enable you to teach the grammar and the vocabulary clearly and easily to foreign students.

Most of the time a native speaker doesn’t know the grammar rules that hide behind a language, but for a teacher it is essential to know them properly.

That’s why Costa de Valencia, school of Spanish, organizes practical courses for future teachers of Spanish as Foreign Language (E/LE). Founded in 1995, the school has a long experience in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and, what’s more, the teachers themselves will train the new teachers.

During the Teacher Training Programme participants will learn how to teach according to the level of the class (they’ll get to know the system of levels according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), they’ll receive all the necessary material that will be used during the course, they’ll learn how to organize their own material, how to handle a class and they’ll have the opportunity to put all this into practice by teaching a real group of foreign students.

The aim of the course is to provide participants with the basic skills necessary to teach Spanish as a Foreign Language and to make them aware of the difficulties that a foreign student might have while studying a new language. Furthermore great emphasis will be put on the practical aspects of teaching, giving them the opportunity to put into practice what they’ve learnt and to gain confidence by teaching a real class.

The school is officially recognized by the Instituto Cervantes as a Centre for Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language.
Taking part in this course is definitely the best way to grant you a future full of chances in a world where Spanish is becoming more and more important.
