LONDON, England Feb. 21, 2011 | Virtual Internet – Virtual Internet has announced a new cloud package called Virtual Data Centers which allow IT managers to virtualize their infrastructure “on-demand” via the Internet.

The new self-service package allows managers to slice and dice a minimum of 10GB (or more) of physical disk space and/or physical memory into multiple configurations at will.
Incorporating the best features of a private cloud and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), the new package promises to lower costs, manpower and complexity.
IT Managers can scale up or down on RAM or disk space, provided they purchase a minimum of 10GB.
Various scenarios exist to split a 10GB server into two 5GB servers (or whichever configuration is best suited for the task at hand).
“One of the key selling points of our on-demand Virtual Data Centers is the ability to scale up or down on physical space and memory ‘independently’,” said Yana Kryuchkova, Marketing Manager, Virtual Internet.
“The ability to self-service these configurations will be a huge boon to IT departments undergoing rapid growth cycles or in need of upgrading legacy servers.”
“Virtual Data Centers offer a number of benefits including massive savings, flexibility, high-performance and very importantly, the self-healing ability of the cloud to handle rare service interruptions.”
The on-demand Virtual Data Centers can be used for testing and deployment, application hosting or to manage seasonal spikes in activity.
The new Virtual Data Centers are built on VMware enterprise cloud software and are secured by managed firewalls, security patching and regular security audits.
Virtual Data Centers come loaded with free, VI-tal support, which operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. VCP qualified engineers and VSP qualified sales personnel are on hand for all customers.

Since 1996 Virtual Internet has been a pioneer in the UK colocation and dedicated hosting market offering industry-leading SLAs and 100% network uptime guarantees.
It was also the first web host to deliver both Xen and VMware (private and public) cloud servers to the UK enterprise market.
Each hosting package they sell is augmented by free VI-tal support packages that have allowed it to build strong client bases in the finance, government, education, health, media and travel sectors.
In January 2011 they reached a new milestone by becoming an ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified web host.
