IRIS certification shows Rowe Hankins is committed to quality says MD Amanda Jones.

Rowe Hankins, one of the first UK companies to achieve the International Rail Industry Standard (IRIS) quality certification under the revised rules has passed a further comprehensive audit. A specialist in speed control, wheel flange lubrication, high integrity circuit protection, on train monitoring and recording and other electro-mechanical rail safety systems, Rowe Hankins see the achievement as a boost to their campaign to recruit a world-wide distribution network.

Managing director Amanda Jones noted, “We climbed a mountain to achieve IRIS certification in 2010, but because quality is a continuous process there has been no respite and everyone appreciates that we must constantly get better. Our auditor congratulated us on maintaining the momentum and continuing to improve our processes. This has been an incredible team effort.”

Major international rolling stock manufacturers such as Alstom, Bombardier and Siemens as well as train and light rail operators, rely on Rowe Hankins expertise. “Certification is an international passport to trade as IRIS is truly a global standard, we therefore expect that this will help us in developing new overseas markets via a growing network of distribution partners,” Amanda concluded.
