Cowles & Thompson’s Adams Elected Texas Bar Foundation Fellow

TYLER, Texas – Trial attorney Kyna Adams, a shareholder in the Tyler, Texas, office of Cowles & Thompson, P.C., has been elected as a Fellow in the Texas Bar Foundation.

The Texas Bar Foundation is the largest charitably funded bar foundation in the country. Fellows are selected based on a demonstrated record of professional achievements and commitment to the community at large. Membership is restricted to one-third of 1 percent of all Texas-licensed lawyers.

Ms. Adams focuses her practice on tort and insurance litigation, commercial law and general litigation. She is member of the Smith County Bar Association Board of Directors and a former co-chair of the SCBA Women's Section.

She is actively involved in Tyler and Smith County community programs, including serving on the Board of Directors of PATH (People Attempting to Help), and as a member of the Leadership Tyler Alumni Association, Tyler Chamber of Commerce, Habitat for Humanity of Smith County, The Salvation Army of Tyler, National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Lone Star Chapter, and the Sturge-Weber Foundation. She also is a certified attorney ad litem for the State of Texas.

Ms. Adams earned her law degree, magna cum laude, from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2003, and her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Hardin-Simmons University in 2000.
