Focus on user-friendliness

Recently a new version of the design tool, the Design Page, was released. It has been updated with new features and its interface has changed to make it easier for users to design their own signs on a computer screen or mobile device. The new version has been made more mobile friendly. “We have noticed an increasing number of customers using mobile devices to design and order signs. It has therefore been a priority to review, update and improve the Design Page,” comments John Eskilsson, CEO of Signomatic.

More products in the range

In recent years more new products have been added to the range. The latest product to be included in the Signomatic range is double-sided signs made from plastic and aluminium. On the Design Page customers can choose the material – aluminium composite (Gobond) or foam PVC (Forex) – and then design their signs as they wish. “Many customers have been asking for signs that can be viewed from both sides, everything from shop signs and information signs to brass signs,” says John. The company keeps abreast of new products and is responsive to the needs of customers. “We want to be able to offer as broad a range of products as possible, so the customer can freely adapt and change them to suit their own needs.”

Localisation is vital

Signomatic has demonstrated that ordering signs online need not be complicated. Both businesses and individuals use the Design Page to order products – everything from small name badges to larger, more robust road signs. The online retailer is currently active in markets both within and outside Europe, and has a customer group with different needs and requirements. Since it started in 2008, the company has supplied over three million signs to over 80 different countries around the world. And there is no doubt that there is potential for further growth. Thanks to localised websites, Signomatic has managed to create the right conditions to reach as broad an audience as possible. These take into account everything from language and payment and delivery options to the specific expectations of each market.
The online store is currently represented in 17 different markets. In light of the company’s continued growth, there is significant interest in expanding and developing a broader customer base outside of Europe. Just over a year ago the company even launched sales in Australia.
