ElectroMech enters into a strategic alliance with American major - Shuttlelift

Mumbai, India, 15th February 2011: Pune based ElectroMech, India’s largest industrial crane manufacturer and customized material handling solutions provider has entered into an agreement with the US based manufacturer - Shuttlelift to extend its offerings to the construction & material handling industry. The new partnership was formally announced to customers and the crane industry at bauma 2011 - the international trade fair for construction machinery held in Mumbai where ElectroMech unveiled the Single- Beam and Mobile Gantry Cranes.
First for the Indian market, the new line encompasses rubber-tired gantry cranes which will overcome the challenge of space availability in the shop floors offering tandem picks in a cost effective manner. Dependable and versatile, mobile gantry cranes offer cost effective lifting portability that can withstand the heaviest of loads. Easily assembled and disassembled, these can be used indoors or outdoors, whether mounted or mobile. ElectroMech will now supply various models along with adjustable heights and spans under the SL series that stand for lighter duty and limited flexibility & ISL series that stand for heavy duty and maximum flexibility. The gantries which can lift loads between 13 tonnes to 450 tonnes can be successfully adapted across multiple industries including pre-fabricated concrete, steel, modular buildings and wind power generation equipment.

This being a new product category, it is hard to ascertain the market size accurately. However according to estimates, the total size during the first year is approximately expected to the tune of 100 units and ElectroMech aspires to capture a substantial chunk of this market.

At bC India expo, ElectroMech also showcased their expertise by displaying a fully functional 5MT Gantry crane highlighting its applications for bridge building. The major attraction at the stall was a live demo of the crane and an interactive game for visitors. This helped visitors to equip themselves with product experience in an innovative and interesting manner. The visitors were enthralled to handle the Radio Remote Control Crane which was an ingenious blend of technology and player’s skill along with an entertainment aspect. This also gave the customers an opportunity to understand the fineness of motion and the precision of the cranes supplied by ElectroMech.
