Visit Mykon at the Surface Design Show in London this week!

Mykon, a privately owned Cambridgeshire based company specialising in unique, innovative and design led solutions for the interior design and architectural industries, is to exhibit at the Surface Design Show being held this week at the Business Design Centre in Islington from 15th-17th February.

Mykon specialise in the manufacture and design of a wide portfolio of surface solutions ranging from interior and exterior wall finishes to partitioning, panels, screens, doors, ceiling tiles, flooring and bespoke furniture materials.

This year at the Surface Design Show Mykon will be displaying a collection of architectural panels including composite aluminium panels from the B-Clear Panel range along with Chillida and Alucolite. Mykon will also be launching several new additions to their B-Clear Panel range, all of which will be included in the new product brochure to be launched at the show.

Texture and colour have been combined to create a remarkable effect on Chillida panels. Mykon were proud to have been selected to manufacture and install these unique panels for phase one of the Howick Place project in London (Architect: Squire &Partners). The rusted steel panels form an internal industrial backdrop which reflects the buildings external red brick facade. The project created a creative hub aimed at design and arts based tenants who now include New York contemporary art auctioneers Phillips de Pury & Company, Faggionato Fine Arts, Tom Ford, and Marc Newson. Further to the successful completion of phase one of this outstanding project, Mykon have also been commissioned to develop, manufacture and install black Chillida panels for phase two.

Mykon materials draw on light, colour and texture. Light is vital not only in its ability to transform space but also due to the different appearances and contrasts it can produce. Mykon appreciate how valuable light is as a resource and have used this philosophy to manufacture products including the B Clear and Iris range which reflect this.
