BCafé Celebrates a Vegan Valentine’s Day
Restaurant Supports Cause Close to the Heart with Special Gift for Patrons
Washington, DC – One of historic Brookland’s favorite eateries, the Brookland Café, will host a Vegan Valentines Day Dinner on Monday, February 14, 2011.
In addition to their extensive vegan menu, Brookland Café will offer patrons a three-course vegan meal, including a starter, entrée and dessert made especially for two. Since opening in 2009, Brookland Café’s specialized menu has been well-received by vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike from all over metropolitan Washington.
“The Brookland Café is all about bringing people together,” says manager Michael Simpson. “We strive every day to create an atmosphere that allows both vegans and non-vegans to enjoy conversation, delicious vegan food, and maybe even spark romance.” Vegan Valentines Day Dinner also caps off the District’s Meat-Free Week Celebration, held from February 8 – 14, 2011.
As a special Valentine’s Day gift, ladies will be given a free T-Shirt depicting “A Survivor’s Journey”, a large-scale mural displayed outside of the Brookland Inn, which houses the Brookland Café. The mural promotes domestic violence prevention and was sponsored by the District Alliance for Safe Housing (D.A.S.H.) “The shirts are a wonderful reflection of the café’s Social Action Agenda, as both the Brookland Café and Inn currently partner with community organizations that work for causes close to all our hearts,” says Rob Ramson, owner of the Brookland Inn. “I am proud to have this mural displayed on my building and honored that the café will share this amazing artwork with their patrons on Valentines Day.”
Brookland Café’s Vegan Valentines Day Dinner will be offered from 3pm until closing hours. Advance reservations are strongly suggested. The café is located within walking distance from the Brookland METRO Station. Visit www.thebrooklandcafe.com for the vegan menu and daily specials.
