Yonkers Industries Adopts Franklin Academy
CARY, N.C. (February 3, 2011) — Yonkers Industries (YonkersIndustries.com) announces today that the company has recently adopted Franklin Academy as part of the Box Tops for Education program. To support the school, Yonkers is collecting box tops from participating consumer products as part of a campaign implemented locally by Regency Office Products. Yonkers has set a goal of $2,500 in box tops by December 2011.“Yonkers is proud to support Franklin Academy and its students by collecting box tops,” says Terry Costello, president and COO. “Not only do I think that we will surpass our goal of earning $2,500 for Franklin Academy, but the entire company is overjoyed to be giving back to the community in which we live and work.”
To launch the campaign, Yonkers Industries has distributed collection boxes throughout its headquarters in Cary, as well as the west coast office in Walnut Creek, CA and other locations. Yonkers has provided employees with materials so they can collect box tops while at home and will be measuring their growth on a monthly basis. Each box top redeemed is worth 10 cents.
Avery Dennison is the first office and school products manufacturer to partner and promote Box Tops for Education. Regency Office Products offers a wide variety of Avery products, and is dedicated to be giving back within the corporate marketplace. Since 1986, the Box Tops for Education program has earned more than $300 million for America’s schools by funding computers, books, playground equipment, field trips and more.
