BIFA COMMENCES SEARCH FOR NEW DIRECTOR GENERAL

The British International Freight Association (BIFA) has appointed George Henderson Recruitment Group to assist in the recruitment of a new Director General.

Comments current Director General, Colin Beaumont: “We have conducted a rigorous evaluation process to select a recruitment company that has the necessary expertise to find the next Director General of BIFA.

“George Henderson Recruitment Group is one of Europe’s oldest-established recruitment and search companies, specialising in transport, logistics and the supply chain, and offers a comprehensive network of industry contacts which will provide the support we are looking for.”

The new Director General will be tasked with continuing to develop BIFA’s four key objectives – representation and lobbying; the provision of advice and information; promotion; and training.

“BIFA is the established representative body for the international freight industry. It will be critical that the new Director General is able to provide the sort of leadership that will enable members to develop in the global economy against a background of ever changing customer demands and new legislation,” explains Beaumont.

George Henderson’s role will be to conduct a rigorous and comprehensive search and present a final short list of candidates to BIFA.

Successful candidates can expect to be interviewed by three of the recruitment company’s senior executives before being presented on the final short list to BIFA.

BIFA expects to make an appointment later this year.
