Philadelphia band 'Hold North' is set to release new album

Philadelphia's own Hold North, comprised of four extraordinary musicians who's sound can be linked to that of 30 Seconds To Mars, Switchfoot and Silverchair, has announced that they will be releasing their third studio album on March 1st, 2011. The band has been working incredibly hard on releasing new material over the past six months and are finally ready to let the world hear the atmospheric rock sound that they have created for this upcoming album. The self titled album will feature 10 new tracks, including radio favorites 'Not Ready To Go' and 'For You To See Now'. Hold North came together in late 2005 as an experimental project between two musicians, Mark and Gabe. Through mutual friends, Dwight was invited to rehearse with the band before signing on as the drummer in early 2006. Hold North went on to release their first full length album in August of 2008 before the addition of bassist Brent in January of 2009.

Hold North is a powerful and emotional creation of music that aims to become the soundtrack to people’s lives. Hold North’s music can be described as ‘Ambient and dreamy motion sequences that float through heavy driven guitars; led by passionate, emotional vocals; all held together by technical and dynamic drumming. Hold North introduces a feeling of inspiration from beginning to end.

Hold North has released two full length albums, Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (2008) and Between the Angels and the Deep Dark Sky (2009). A five song EP entitled Go Inside (2010) was independently recorded and released by the band in June of 2010.

Hold North is currently working on releasing their third full length album with a release date scheduled for early 2011.
