Joe Maseratti from Major Media One, a Florida based media house says that the cost of worldwide TV advertising has been tumbling over the last year and in many markets is now at the lowest rates for years.

Mr. Maseratti explains how the market has changed: “The current economic climate across the globe has forced companies of all sizes to reassess their advertising spend through all types of media. Many companies are also diverting a proportion of their budget into other forms of advertising such as online video, sponsorship, internet marketing, and even through emerging technologies like cell phones. With decreased demand TV networks and cable channels all around the world have had to realign their pricing to make it more attractive for companies to spend their money.”

“In many countries the cost of television advertising is reported to have decreased by as much as 25% and as a wholesale media buyer we have been able to secure some incredible deals for our clients.”

Major Media One has recently won significant new clients and has been retained to assist with domestic as well as worldwide advertising media buys. Although no details have been released as to the identity of any of the clients Mr. Maseratti says that the falling cost of worldwide advertising if purchased in bulk was instrumental in securing the accounts.

“It seems that almost all the world has experienced difficult economic times over the last couple of years and this has been reflected in the cost of purchasing media. In some countries we are able to buy airtime with the major networks for less than we were paying 10 years ago. The advertising markets in parts of Europe and Asia are particularly good value at the moment and we have been able to capitalize on this for our clients. There has never been a better time to buy television slots than now and some of the other media such as billboards also offer good value for those companies that are willing to spend.”

It’s hard for consumers to believe that TV networks have found it tough to attract advertisers when they are still bombarded with ads at every opportunity. However, if the experience of Major One Media is indicative of the advertising market in general it seems that companies who are willing to continue to spend the money can present their wares to you more often for less money.
