THE GREAT AMERICAN ROAD TRIP, WITH A BRITISH TWIST!

'Three Englishmen making their way across the States are becoming an online hit. And you can be a part of it!'

With their open-minded and endearing personalities, three young Englishmen are rapidly making a name for themselves as they travel across the United States, searching for unusual experiences along the way.

‘Boxtick America’ shows Ryan, Jonny and Tom attempting things suggested to their website by the general public. From throwing a copy of ‘Twister’ into a tornado to trying out for a cheerleading team, their ‘boxticks’ are full of imagination and humour. Presented in weekly ‘webisodes’ and blogs, and using Flickr, Facebook and Twitter to interact with its audience, the BtA adventure is a unique concept in online media. People are asked to submit boxticks, meet and travel with the team, and get involved in any way possible to help them achieve their goals.

The guys have a webpage dedicated to all those who help out, with photos and an open forum. If you ask nicely they’ll even send you a postcard! As Jonny says, ‘BtA is not just a show about us ‘ticking’ boxes, it’s an ongoing, evolving relationship between the three of us and American society, made possible by the many online social media formats used by millions each day.’

Members of the public are clearly taking to it. Facebookers are eagerly posting on the BtA wall, offering ideas and engaging in banter with the team.

‘People are getting in touch offering us places to crash for a few nights, and ideas for what we could do to make our time here quintessentially American,’ commented Ryan. ‘One person let us chop down a tree on her land, another offered to give us a stand-up comedy gig.’
