ST. GALLEN, SWITZERLAND, JANUARY 20, 2011 – CashRun, a leading provider of e-commerce services, announces the upgrade of its innovative fraud protection solution CashShield for February 2011. The application receives additional features to significantly enhance the fraud detection technology and user-friendliness for online merchants.
The newly released security features include a Device Fingerprinting Technology with over 30 additional verification tests such as Real-IP and Proxy Detection as well as the upgrade to the market highest security standards of 256-bit SSL encryption. To empower merchants with a higher level of control, selected verification information including real-time Geographical IP Distance Calculation and Network Configuration will be disclosed in an enhanced user interface.
Online merchants are estimated to pay 100US$ billion in fraud losses due to unauthorized transactions and fees associated with chargebacks, while credit cards are linked to nearly half of all fraudulent transactions. “Online merchants need to manage the risk of increasingly sophisticated fraudsters. With continuous enhancements to CashShield, we will help merchants successfully fight these risks and optimize their resources with our unique 100% Chargeback Protection” pointed out by Mr Justin Lie, Managing Director of CashRun.
The launch of this enhanced version of CashShield will allow e-merchants to concentrate on their core competencies while relying on CashShield to efficiently detect and filter out fraudulent transactions and achieve revenue growth by retaining the maximum number of genuine orders.
