Stevens-Henager College Introduces a Fully Online BS in Health Science Program

Salt Lake City, Utah – January 19, 2011 - Stevens-Henager College, Murray has introduced a fully online degree program for health professionals to upgrade their education and enhance their career options.

Stevens-Henager College delivers this Bachelor’s of Health Sciences program via Stevens-Henager, Murray campus. This degree program will enable students to earn a degree within 20 months. It is designed as a degree completion program for health professionals who would like to enhance their career opportunities.

The Health Sciences Bachelor’s completion program focuses on providing health professionals with knowledge in management and organization, ethics and policy issues, communication, computer, and statistical skills. The program provides for entry-level employment or promotion in a number of areas, which includes but is not limited to: Healthcare, HMO, and Hospital Administration; Health Communications; Health Education, Health Promotion; Patient or Client Relations; Community Health Policy; and Long-term Care Facility Programs or Administration.

A prerequisite for the course is that you must be a graduate of an associate’s degree level health sciences program (i.e. medical assisting, respiratory therapy, nurse education, surgical technology, etc.) from an accredited institution. Students who have completed sufficient college credit to attain the equivalent of third year college status in the field of health science may also apply. Prospective students should also have completed an appropriate number of credit hours of general education.
