Press release from: Alsbridge Inc.

Today, CIOs and CFOs rely more heavily than ever on a wide variety of vendors. However, the vendor landscape and market of products and services are changing at a rapid pace due to globalization and emerging technologies.

“Finding the right vendor and getting a fair market price for a single product or service is difficult enough. But when you have interdependencies between your vendor relationships and consider the ripple effects of making changes to any of them – it can be a daunting task for any CIO or CFO,” says Alsbridge founder and CEO, Ben Trowbridge. “We set about to change that by creating a single source of information and capabilities around a broad range of the highest impact products and services.” Alsbridge has expanded their service lines to include consulting, network services, benchmarking, and hardware and software sourcing creating a one stop shop for CIOs and CFOs driving value for their enterprise.

Alsbridge was founded as an outsourcing and shared services consulting firm in 2003, and has been steadily expanding its benchmarking databases and sourcing advisory capabilities over the last three years.

“We have long recognized the need for the best sourcing advisors to have the best data, hence our acquisition of ProBenchmark in 2008,” says Trowbridge. In 2009, Alsbridge also completed a strategic acquisition of the leading network services procurement firm, TAG which had a remarkable data base of global carrier pricing for the last 10 years.

“To maintain outsourcing market leadership, you must constantly innovate to take market share from the established players or create new markets,” says Trowbridge. “With the acquisition of TAG, now called Alsbridge Network Services, we continued to evolve and expand our sourcing and benchmarking capabilities to include network services as well as hardware, software and maintenance.” No single firm can match this service set. The strategic acquisitions have borne fruit as Alsbridge has garnered a place in the prestigious Inc 500 among the fastest growing private companies in the US in 2010.

Alsbridge acknowledges the recent joining of TPI and Compass as an endorsement of the Alsbridge strategy three years ago to acquire the market leading benchmarking firm, ProBenchmark. “The TPI-Compass move reinforces the need for good data in a fast-moving market. We believe that Alsbridge has the best data for the broadest range of products and services used by the CIO and CFO. We can help them reduce costs and get more value from their vendors whether we’re talking about laptops from Dell, printers from Xerox, licenses from SAP, network services from AT&T, data center services from IBM, application development from Accenture, cloud services from Amazon or accounting services from Genpact,” says Trowbridge.
