Beijing's First Boutique Design Hotel

Miami/Beijing: Stunning. The red neon bars at the entrance awe the arriving guest, as does the two story atrium-type lobby with its ultra-contemporary design features. Beijing meets South Beach. Concierges welcome you, dressed in bright yellow uniforms, contrasting with the radiant colors of the interior décor. The vibrant décor continues into the 168 unique, well furnished rooms that come in thirty different variations, and three categories: standard, superior and deluxe. Some rooms feature such unique amenities as a huge movie screen, a round bed, a wooden bathtub and washstand, or a tea alcove. All offer a high level of comfort with striking design furniture. The bathrooms are the hotel’s masterpieces, with zebra-patterned tiles or other bright color schemes. The washbasins, showers and bathtubs are all ultra-modern, and the shampoo and bath gel container is futuristic and eye-catching.
For the business traveler, every room has a good size desk, and free high-speed internet. Two elegant meeting and function rooms can accommodate 50 guests and offer distinctive, flexible spaces. Three additional meetings rooms for 50, 100 and 500 guests respectively are available in the adjacent building. A wide range of state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment is provided.
The original design is the creation of Mr. Bin Ju, managing director of Horizontal Space, Hong Kong-Shenzhen-Beijing. Among several award winning creations, Mr. Ju is also the designer for the Swarovski Crystal design centers. Fortune-Land International boutique hotel is noted for its arrival sculpture, omniscient entry, interior decor that competes with skyline views and a staff-to-room ratio twice the luxury industry standard that provides a bounty of naturally effortless services.
The hotel’s café offers a western-style menu, and the specialty restaurant is scheduled to open this month. A large swimming pool, an exercise room and a massage spa will also be available soon.
The Fortune-Land is in the Chaoyang central business district, about 20 minutes from the Forbidden City, near museums, and just a few blocks from the subway.
