(PHOENIX, Ariz.) – According to a recent survey by Manpower, 84% of employees will be looking for a job in the New Year. Furthermore, many laid off workers will attack their job search with renewed determination after the holidays. Career Connectors, a local volunteer organization that brings together job seekers with hiring companies and job search experts, has readied for the potential onslaught of new job seekers by launching their sixth job seeker networking meeting in Phoenix on January 5th.

“This is the only organization in the Valley that brings together people who are looking for jobs with the companies who have them,” says Jessica Pierce, Founder of Career Connectors.

“Job Seekers are frustrated with the job search process. They apply for jobs online and never hear from anyone. By bringing hiring companies to these meetings, it allows the job seeker an opportunity to make a connection so that the hiring manager can put a name to a face, and hopefully, put that resume at the top of the applicant pile.”

This Phoenix Career Connectors meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 5th, 2011, from 9:00 am to noon, at North Phoenix Baptist Church, 5757 N. Central Ave. (southeast corner of Central Ave and Bethany Home Rd).
