Master in Management Compass

About two thirds of the Master in Management Programs worldwide do not require a first degree in business or economics. That’s the result the information platform Master in Management Compass has come to after evaluating 280 Master in Management Programs in 30 countries. The result should please students and graduates of non-economical subjects: Immediately after finishing a Bachelor of any branch of studies they can complete a Management Master.

Alternative to the MBA: Most Master in Management programs do not require a first degree in business or economics.

A further academic Management training is traditionally provided by the Master of Business Administration (MBA). Working people with at least three years of work experience are supposed to obtain the skills for leading positions thereby. Though since a few years there are more and more academic Master programs in General Management (MIM), which can be taken up right after the first academic degree. While about one third of these programs, often called MiM (Master in Management) , only address candidates with a first degree in economics, two thirds are open for graduates of all branches of studies.

The information platform “Master in Management Compass” offers the possibility to specifically search for these programs. Of the altogether 280 MiM-Programs in the database only 87 require a first degree in business studies or economics. The remaining 193 programs either address an extended but restricted target group, for e.g. graduates of social studies, or they exclusively address graduates of non-economical studies or they are simply open for all branches of studies. This applies for both, the full time and the part time programs.

The result is probably interesting for all graduates of non-economical studies who –perhaps directly after their Bachelor- aim for a Management Master and don’t want to complete three years of work experience for an MBA.

On the information platform Master in Management Compass users can search through nearly 300 Master in General Management programs and more than 150 specialized Masters in Management worldwide for free. Different search filters like “Program focus," “Program length,“ “Country,” “Teaching mode,” or “Entry requirements” will help you to narrow down the programs best suiting your personal needs and to find the program you are really looking for.
