According to Parekh, their job recommendation system works at two levels.
At level one, it captures the frequency with which a jobseeker selects various job search criteria such as “ Function / Skill / Industry / Domain / Designation Level / Experience “ etc. This works quite like Google suggesting search – terms based on past usage.
At level two, the job – recommendation system captures the details of all the job advertisements opened and viewed by a jobseeker in the past. These details ( Job Title / Company Name / Location / Salary Offered / Designation / Experience / Educational Qualification ) are accumulated for all the past job searches and then used to rearrange job search results in the descending order of the past frequencies of viewing. This ensures that the most – matched jobs are right at the top of the search results.
Parekh claimed that the job recommendation system based on the past job search history of each candidate considerably augments the job search process and vastly reduces the time needed by a jobseeker to zero-in on the perfectly matching jobs.
Not only online but the job recommendation system works offline as well, when a candidate receives a job-alert on mobile by typing “ jam alert “ and sends to 9756510001.
