Alternative to Love at The Richmonde’s Exchange Bar

Whether single or attached, love-struck or heartbroken, listening to the fresh, vibrant and soothing songs of some of the country’s brightest performers will surely lift your spirits, whatever state your heart is in this Valentine season. On February 16 at The Exchange Bar, The Richmonde Hotel and JAM 88.3 present “Alternative To Love”, a post-Valentine show which brings together an eclectic yet truly exciting mix of entertainers—up and coming jazz artist JULIANNE, teenage rocker DANITA and one of the country’s most loved acoustic bands M.Y.M.P.

With her R&B grooves and natural charisma, audiences will surely be wowed by Julianne’s soulful renditions. Her musical influences include India Arie and Jill Scott, among others, who are admittedly less mainstream but consummate artists nonetheless. Danita, on the other hand, is the newest rocker in the local music business who has recently released her debut single dubbed, “Promotor”, a collaboration of today’s most popular bands like Rivermaya, Mayonnaise, 6 Cyclemind and Sandwich. M.Y.M.P. (Make Your Momma Proud) has been a certified favorite acoustic act as soon as they entered the band and recording scene a few years back. Performing original and cover versions of catchy and well-loved tunes, the cool and soothing voice of vocalist Juris Fernandez accompanied by the melodic guitar strums of Chin Alcantara certainly make for a perfect treat this season of love.

Tickets to the Alternative to Love show are at Php500net only, inclusive of two rounds of local beer, cocktail drink of the month, iced tea or soda plus a commemorative Alternative to Love CD from JAM 88.3 which features a collection of love songs from today’s top female foreign artists.
