XBinder® All-In-One XML Data Binding Solution Enhanced with Broadened Support for .NET and Java

12-18-2010 10:44 AM CET | Media & Telecommunications

Press release from: Objective Systems, Inc.

Exton, PA, December 16, 2010 - Objective Systems Inc announces the latest release of their XBinder® All-In-One XML Data Binding Solution version 2.2. XBinder has been enhanced through the addition of features such as support for Microsoft's Visual Studio 2010, the Java ME / Java SE 1.4 platforms, and the XML Pull Parser API used for development of Android applications. Run-time source code for both Java and C# is now included at no additional cost in licensed versions. Also, a free version is available limited only by the size of the input files to be processed.

"Our strategy is to stay active within the XML development community so that we can continue to grow XBinder's value" says Ed Day, President of Objective Systems. "Finding an XML data binding solution for Java ME CLDC wasn't easy so we added it to our newest release. In addition, we have watched Android demand continue to grow so we wanted to roll out XBinder with an effective upgrade that directly supports its developers. We also felt that it was important to offer XBinder for free to small-project developers."

Being specifically designed to assist in cutting project development costs, XBinder automates data binding between XML and C, C++, Java, or C# programming languages. XBinder's new expanded features drive project efficiencies with:

* Improved support for the subset of Java used on the Android platform including support for the XML Pull Parser API (org.xmlpull.v1.*).
* Support for additional Java Platforms: Java ME and Java SE 1.4.
* Support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 in addition of support for older versions all the way back to VC++ 6.0.
* Partial support for generating Javascript Object Notation (JSON) C code.
* Configuration of Encoders and Decoders for Individual Types.
* Improvements in C# code generation including the capability to output code to a single source file or source file per schema instead of one file per type.
