Portland Used Car Rack Company Expands

Portland, OR – ReRack, the nation’s leading environmentally focused buy, sell and trade car rack business, featuring Yakima and Thule racks, has moved in to its new headquarters at 2240 NE Sandy Boulevard in Portland, slightly east on Sandy from its previous location, and business is booming.

ReRack is experiencing an incredible amount of growth mainly due to the company’s effort to provide low cost racks with a strong emphasis on customer service. The popularity of Yakima and Thule racks also helps create more business for ReRack. With the grand opening of the new building, ReRack stands to benefit tremendously from the very highly traveled stretch of Sandy Boulevard.

Bo Grayzel, CEO of ReRack said, “This is very exciting. I had no idea how popular the used rack concept was going to be when I started ReRack in 2008. But people really want to get affordable reused roof racks and appreciate the care and service we give them. It has resulted in a steadily expanding business and the need for a bigger location.”

The new home sits on nearly 15,000 square feet and will provide space for increased buying of used Yakima and Thule racks, improved customer service and a larger product selection for ReRack, in keeping with its mission to minimize the waste stream through the reuse of vehicle racks.

According to Grayzel, “The Small Business Administration was instrumental in affording us the opportunity to purchase our new headquarters. Due to their efforts, we are taking the first step in revitalizing this stretch of Sandy Boulevard. With our increased visibility, more people will be able to park and shop here and also access other businesses in the area to create greater economic stimulus.”

A number of businesses plan to purchase and move into the buildings on the historic Timberline Triangle bounded by NE Sandy Boulevard, Glisan and NE 24th Avenue thus ensuring the revitalization of Sandy Boulevard. “ReRack looks forward to being part of a vibrant business mix on this stretch of Sandy,” said Grayzel.
