Godwin Ronquillo Adds Two to Executive Committee
Jenny Martinez and Robert Wiegand
Ms. Martinez and Mr. Wiegand, both shareholders in the firm, join Donald E. Godwin, Marcos G. Ronquillo, Bruce W. Bowman Jr. and R. Alan York on the Executive Committee.
“The committee felt the time was right to expand and add these two new members,” says Mr. Godwin, firm Chairman and CEO. “As co-chairs of the Commercial Litigation Section, Jenny and Robert have proven to be strong leaders and will bring a new perspective to firm management matters that will help to continue propelling our firm forward.”
Ms. Martinez represents both plaintiffs and defendants in business disputes involving real estate, banking, insurance, employment, contracts and collections. She earned a spot among the 2008 and 2009 Texas Rising Stars list and is currently a member of the Halliburton Horizon oil spill Litigation Team. She graduated, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 1999.
Mr. Wiegand represents businesses and individuals in complex business disputes, including cases involving breach of contract, partnership disputes, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, commercial and residential construction, real estate, and defamation. He has earned a place on the Texas Rising Star list five times since 2004. He graduated, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 1994.
