12-13-2010 09:53 AM CET | Energy & Environment

Press release from: European Academy for Taxes, Economics & Law

Utilities need public support in financing. So the European Commission will invest more than 2 billion Euros in the development of Energy Infrastructure. Financial offers increased by 50% in 2010.

The EU offers many funding possibilities in the area of Renewable Energies, Research and Infrastructure for Utilities. However the landscape of Funding is wide and applicants need special knowledge about bureaucratic processes and the right funding instruments.

Following aspects have to be considered:

• How do I receive EU Funding and where does this money come from?
• How do I have to apply and in which form?
• How can I combine different Funding opportunities?
• Which costs are eligible?

The European Seminar “EU Funding for Utilities” 31st January – 1st February in Berlin will provide an overview about EU Financial Support for Energy Projects. Participants will learn more about legal requirements and how to write a successful application. Case Studies and Best Practise Examples will support an experience exchange between the Member States. This seminar is targeted especially at utilities in search of funding possibilities for optimising and developing innovative investments.
