COOKING CLASS WITH CHEF DIRK HOLSCHER
New Delhi, India, 8 December 2010 … This Christmas, guests are invited to learn the secret recipes for traditional German delights by enrolling in a day-long cooking session called the “Kochkurse” on 13 December 2010 from 10:00am. Hyatt Regency Delhi’s executive chef, Dirk Holscher, will teach participants easy to make traditional recipes that are ideal to serve as a part of a Christmas menu for family get-togethers and dinners. The live demonstration during this class will allow participants to understand the basic nuances of home cooking.
Traditional German dishes rank high in a non-vegetarian meal but Chef Dirk offers interesting vegetarian fare, too as he guides participants through the easy preparation of a Light Ginger-Carrot Soup, as well as the traditional roast honey thyme orange duckling braised red cabbage, salt potatoes, natural jus , and concludes the cooking class with cinnamon mousse, marinated cognac prunes
The cooking class is priced at INR2,000 + taxes for CATH members and INR2,500 + taxes for non-CATH members. This includes lunch at the venue with a glass of wine. The recipes for each dish demonstrated in the cooking class will be available at the venue. Executive Chef Dirk Holscher has been associated with Hyatt for over a decade. His career with Hyatt has seen him globe trot on assignments to various parts of the world since coming on board in 1995 as chef de cuisine at Hyatt Regency Dubai. He brings with him a rich and varied multicultural experience of over 21 years, having worked with such eminent brands as The Hotel Intercontinental and the Steigenberger Hotel in Germany before taking up his first overseas assignment in Dubai.
