RALEIGH, N.C. (December 2, 2010)—Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (www.cshlaw.com), a corporate and civil defense litigation firm, welcomes Paul H. Derrick to the Labor and Employment practice group. Derrick will serve as partner in the Raleigh office.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law, Derrick’s defense litigation practice provides preventative and strategic advice to businesses on employment and labor law issues. Prior to joining CSH, he was co-founder and litigation manager of the Raleigh office of Jackson Lewis LLP.

An experienced trial lawyer, Derrick has advised and represented employers across the country in matters regarding a broad range of labor and employment issues. These including discrimination of all types, union avoidance, restrictive covenants, theft of trade secrets, and wage and hour compliance. His early career included working as a field attorney with the National Labor Relations Board.
