ThinkLABS Technosolutions Pvt Ltd, a pioneer in the fields of hands-on science and technology education in India, brings a unique hands-on learning camp based on Robotics and Virtual Robotics for school children in Mumbai & Hyderabad. The camps kick off on December 24th and will continue till January 2nd in Reliance World stores across 5 locations in Mumbai: Juhu, Mulund, Powai Borivali and Dadar and in Banjara Hills in Hyderabad.

ThinkLABS aims to introduce children to the wonderful world of Robotics and Virtual Robotics which will help students understand the principles of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in a fun-filled and interactive manner. Children will also get to exercise their creativity with Virtual Robotics and make their own PC / video games.

Robotics allows young minds to develop invaluable skills such as problem-solving, logical reasoning, critical thinking and creativity—skills highly-desirable for children to succeed in the future. Virtual Robotics not only teaches children science, but also allows young minds to think creatively and use their design and drawing skills to create their own PC / Video games.

Commenting on the launch of this unique camp on hands-on science and technology learning, Mr. Gagan Goyal, Founder and Director, ThinkLABS Technosolutions, said, “Right from the onset, our objective has been to add a whole new dimension to science and technology education in India and making learning a lot more fun and interactive. We have seen that there is an underlying need among parents and children alike to make good use of their time during vacations. We therefore bring ROBOCAMP for students during their vacations. Robotics is indeed a very interesting way to teach science and technology to school students. The results of our efforts have been very encouraging and Robotics is fast becoming popular among the student community. We will continue to infuse new and innovative ideas to our modules to lay a stronger foundation for the technical development of our country”.

ROBOCAMPTM has been designed keeping the academic curricula in mind. Besides introducing participants to Robotics, the camp will elucidate many principles of Science and Mathematics through interesting demonstrations and hands-on robot building sessions. ThinkLabs trainers will train young minds create an amazing variety of Robots like Scorpion, Gripper, Soccer Playing Robot, Line Follower, Obstacle Avoiding Robot, etc.

This year ThinkLabs is introducing a brand new concept – Virtual Robotics that will enable a child to create his / her own PC game, using the principles of Human-Machine interaction and animation.

Spread over 5 days ThinkLABS’ ROBOCAMP™ provides hands-on exposure to robot programming using hardware and software. Participants would spend two hours every day in the cool and comfortable environs of Reliance World learning how to build and program robots using sophisticated robotic kits. Depending on the type of program they choose, at the end of the camp, the children would be able to take home the robot they built.
Furthermore, participants of ROBOCAMP™ would also be eligible to enter the National Robotics Competition (TRICKS) to be held at IIT Bombay on January 23rd, 2011. The champion will win a trip to NASA.

ThinkLABS Technosolutions Pvt Ltd is the pioneer in the fields of hands-on science and technology education in India.
