About the Presenter: Ellen Fan is the Clinical Financial Analyst Pharmacist, Corporate Pharmacy at Saint Barnabas Health Care System in New Jersey with over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Rutgers University, College of Pharmacy. She also acquired intellectual property law and contract education at New York University, School of Continuing and Professional Studies. In her current position, she provides drug billing guidance and implements process improvement initiatives to reduce claims denials. She has also identified drug reimbursement opportunities resulting in substantial financial success for the 6 acute-care hospitals in the system.

Prior to her role at Saint Barnabas, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry, where she obtained diverse exposure in drug reimbursement, long-term care, hospital and trade marketing, product launches, account management, clinical safety review and payor contracting. Previous to her pharma experiences, she was employed by a prescription benefit management company, where she maintained clinical program profitability, ensured contractual compliance related to drug formularies and served as a clinical-legal liaison.
