Only Symposium of EU Funds 2011 in Europe Fields of Application of EU programs are discussed

In Berlin the 6th annual symposium of EU Funds takes place from 28 - 30 March 2011. Experts from all over Europe exchange about the correct handling of EU Funding.

This is the only forum in Europe which links expertise of all stakeholders from the European Commission until Audit Authorities in order to discuss experiences directly around European Social Fund (ESF), European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Cohesion Fund (CF), European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and European Fishery Fund (EFF).

Half of the EU Funding period is over (2007-2013). EU Member States and EU Funds Authorities are facing essential strategically decisions of Implementation. Following key-topics are discussed on the 6th Annual symposium EU Funds 2011:

• Outlook EU funding period 2014-2020
• Faster implementation of operational programmes
• Simplification of EU funding procedures
• Sustainable use of EU Funds by the use of financial engineering schemes
• Implementation of EU Funds – exchange of experience about the field of applications
• Improvement of performance by ex-post and on-going evaluation
• Easing the administrative burden
• Public Procurement and State Aid (Application, Audit, Financial Control)

Around 40 speakers will deal with these topics on two symposium-days and one workshop-day. The conference will be interpreted continuously. Beside special networking possibilities an atmospheric evening reception with the Award Ceremony of the European Knowledge Award will offer diversion. The European Academy for Taxes, Economics and Law invites in the ESTREL Hotel in Berlin this year.

Invited are Europe-wide Ministries Regional and Local Governments, Municipalities, Regional Development Agencies, Courts of Auditors, National and Investment Banks, Private Banks, Consulting companies, Advisory and Audit Services.
