Strategic Technology Group LLC (STG) based in the Washington DC, USA has launched a series of workshops on Engineering Innovation in India. The first in the series was held in Pune in April of this year. The second workshop is scheduled to be held on Dec 10 and 11 in Bangalore. The schedule for remaining workshops will be released by the company by early January. Recently, The Company has established a Pune office to not only coordinate these workshops but also provide consulting, design and manufacturing services to clients internationally and India.
The workshops are focused on accelerating Engineering innovation in India. STG strongly feels that engineering innovation is the key in being able to place India as the number one economy in the world.
Rakesh Dhawan, President and CEO of STG, feels that “Especially entrepreneurial engineering Innovation remains a critical and significant defining element in deciding a nation’s wealth. Most of the Indian businesses know trading and remaining are more focused on providing low cost brain power to the West. The workshops are presented by Rakesh Dhawan and Bhuvanesh Sharda, Industry veterans of twenty five years. Rakesh is a graduate of IIT Kharagpur in Electrical Engineering. Rakesh also did his Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and Masters in Business Administration from Old Dominion University, both in the USA. Rakesh has been instrumental in launching a number of new technology products and start-ups in his career. Bhuvanesh is a sustainability practitioner who believes that Industrial and Business sustainability are interwoven with the sustainability of the environment and the nature. Bhuvanesh is a mechanical engineer with automobile specialization. Bhuvanesh has been involved with such companies as General Motors, Eicher, Ashok Leyland, Tata Yazaki, Minda etc.
The two day workshop covers a wide range of subjects such as principles of technology development, product feasibility, and entrepreneurial project management, theory of constraints, statistics, and design of light electric vehicles, electric propulsion components, switch mode power supplies, solar inverters and embedded systems.
