Davra Networks Releases Network Automation Solution for Cisco Networks.
2010 was certainly the year of Virtualization. 2011 looks set to be the year of Network Automation. In a recent webinar entitled ‘Learn How Network Automation Can Reduce Costs and Increase Productivity’ Glenn O’Donnell, Forrester Research Senior Analyst outlined how Network Automation can not only eliminates mundane tasks but also take the errors out of these manual process.
The network is filled with various configuration settings and profiles that must be adjusted frequently to align with business requirements. Manually adjusting the switches, routers and network monitoring tools is not only a time-consuming process, but there are many opportunities for mistakes and misconfigurations. This is where Cisco’s EEM and Davra’s EEMLive solution come into play and allows the complete automation of this entire process.
The effect of Virtualization on the Network
In addition to heightened complexity, virtualization and most cloud models introduce higher rates of change for networks. Increasingly complex networks managed by scripts, configurations and spreadsheets and manual processes will simply not keep up with servers and desktops created by mouse clicks. This conflict between system automation (virtualization) and the lack of network automation is perhaps the biggest impediment to the pervasive adoption of virtualization in the data center and the ability to truly monetize cloud as a standalone business. Davra Networks aims to compliment this System Automation (Virtualization) with strategic Network Automation.
EEMLive is currently available for a free trial download and can be downloaded at www.davranetworks.com. Contact us at +353 1 4498726 or email@example.com for further information.
