[Queens, NYC 01/23/19] - A book release party to celebrate the publication of “The Healthy Sheet Pan Cookbook (Rockridge Press, 2019) will be held on Tuesday, February 5th from 7pm-9pm at the Copper Kettle Bar and Restuarant in Woodside, NY.
Woodside resident Ruthy Kirwan, a recipe developer and cooking class instructor who owns the website PercolateKitchen.com, wrote the book, which features all recipes cooked on one sheet pan. The book will contain a mix of breakfast recipes and dinner recipes, and aims to help make mealtimes easier for working families during the week.
To help celebrate the release of the book, Ms. Kirwan has joined forces with the NYC-based charity Moms For Moms NYC. This downtown-based charity aims to be a support system for single mothers in the city. Alongside emotional and strategic support, they prepare and distribute care packages for new mothers. Care packages include items needed around the birth of a baby, including postpartum supplies for the mother, baby clothes, bottles, diapers, and formula.
Ms Kirwan has asked attendees to please bring one item to donate to the care packages. Each item donated will be met with a raffle ticket for a chance to win a free cookbook.
