Dr. Azar-Mehr Appointed to University of Southern California Academic Senate
Los Angeles, CA – The University of Southern California is one of the most respected and distinguished institutions of higher learning in the country and as such it has become a leader in academic practices, often looked upon as a model for other schools to emulate. As a member of the Committee on Non-tenure track Faculty, Dr. Azar-Mehr will be taking part in the monitoring of the working environment, conditions of employment, benefits eligibility, opportunities for participation in governance, opportunities for professional advancement and participation in the academic life of the University provided for non-tenure-track faculty.As a member of the committee Dr. Azar-Mehr will participate in the tracking of significant changes in the proportions of non-tenure track to tenure-track faculty within the total faculty, in individual units and as the University as a whole. The committee monitors faculty compliance with the Faculty Handbook plus state school policy. Dr. Azar-Mehr will take part in making recommendations to relevant Senate and University committees and to the Academic Senate with concern for all policy issues that may bear on the use and profile of non-tenure faculty.
Dr. Azar-Mehr is currently a renowned (general and) Drop off Prosthodontist dental specialist practicing in Los Angeles and acts as the Professor of Clinical Dentistry in the Department of Post-Doctoral Education, Advanced Prosthodontics for the School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California. His years of experience in complex, “real world” applications for dental restorations and oral rehabilitations has made him an invaluable asset to his student’s education and the University at large.
In addition to his private practice and scholarly duties, Dr. Azar-Mehr is an accomplished author. He has published numerous articles on the techniques and practical functions of modern medical dental science for general dentistry and Prosthodontics. While his papers have appeared in several professional peer reviewed journals, Dr. Azar-Mehr enjoys a more personal approach through his extensive series of lectures and professional conferences given across the country and around the world.
Along with his wife, Dr. Pak Azar-Mehr, Dr. Azar-Mehr’s private practice has helped patients in the Beverly Hills and Los Angeles area with a wide assortment of dental issues and general oral hygiene. His office boosts the latest in the state of the art equipment and he is known for bringing innovative techniques and cutting edge practices into his practice. He successfully combines the best in scientific research with time-tested approaches.
