DSK International School of Design Announces Launch of Masterclasses Program

PUNE, November 11, 2010 – DSK ISD, the first truly international design school, announced today that they will be holding Masterclasses program featuring as many as 8 internationally known design professionals. This program will allow students, young budding designers and professionals alike to learn about international trends and tools employed in the global markets. The Masterclasses program will be organised from 15th to 19th November, 2010 at the DSK Supinfocom International Campus in Pune and will include:
Digital Design Master class
Product Design Master class
Transportation Design Master class
The Digital Design Master Class program will allow students and professionals to engage in intensive brainstorming sessions with experts and will equip them with tools to improve collaborative work. Students and professionals will be able to use ATLAS STUDIO to create several digital concepts at any particular time. The Product Design Master Class will train students to manage individual as well as group creativity and organise creative workshops. Under the guidance of experts, students will learn how to identify exceptional ideas and convert them into reality.
The Transportation Design Master Class will impart knowledge on comfort and ergonomic elements of car interior design. The students will learn about the influential or key elements of car interior design and their impact. “It’s a great opportunity for the students to meet professionals from the industry and to know what their needs are” said Flavien Dachet, interior designer TATA MOTORS (UK). The program is designed to allow professionals to learn more about new processes and methodologies employed and the challenges encountered in European markets.
“The Masterclasses are a very good place to get connections in the industry” said Kaja Bartel senior footwear designer CAMPER (SPAIN). Students can get exposure to the tricks of trade followed in the industry and network with other successful professionals in their respective areas. The specialists selected to act as guides to students and professionals are some of the top names in their respective fields. These professionals come with extensive experience of working with international companies like Studio Massaud, Oxylane, Artengo, Renault Design, Bentley Motors, James Toleman Industrial Design and Seren Partners Ltd.
The DSK Supinfocom is an education campus established in collaboration with Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Valenciennois (CCIV), the leading school in Animation, Industrial Design and Gaming in France. The last date for registration for the Masterclasses program is Saturday, 13th November 2010. Places will be limited to 5 individuals for each master class.
