GIVT OFFERS CUSTOMER SERVICE ALREADY IN NINE LANGUAGES

GIVT technology platform has launched customer service in five more languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French and German. The company, which assists airline passengers in obtaining compensation for disrupted flights, already operates in nine languages in more than 30 countries.

GIVT started its operations in 2017, initially only in Poland. After only a few months, in the spring of 2018, it introduced first three foreign languages: English, Bulgarian and Romanian. The development of GIVT technology platform throughout the European Union has resulted in the introduction of five more languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French and German. Acquiring and servicing customers in 30 countries is a huge business challenge in terms of marketing, technological, operational and human aspects. We can observe a dynamic growth in international sales, which in December 2018 already accounted for more than half of the current acquisition – GIVT CEO Jacek Podoba said. – The number of customers from across the European Union will continue to grow, and this requires us to modify our business operations very quickly to meet the high and changing demands of the clients from several countries across Europe.

In the latest report “Challenges of Growth 2018”, Eurocontrol forecasts that over the next two decades traffic in the European skies will increase to more than 16 million flights a year, so by more than half compared to 2017. This is a tremendous growth of the aviation market in every respect – stresses the President of GIVT. It is estimated that over the next 20 years, the demand for air services will exceed their capacity by about 1.5 million flights per year. This will lead to a huge number of overloaded airports and nearly 160 million people a year not being able to travel by air. Of course, the scale of delays and cancellations will increase and will affect more and more passengers on our continent – he explains.

Several tens of thousands of passengers have already used GIVT's services. One of its distinguishing features is advanced technology. The company continues to invest in the development of software supported by Machine Learning and the use of Big Data. Recently, its project has received a grant from NCBiR, the National Centre for Research and Development, in the amount of PLN 11.5 million for the development of a flight forecasting and scoring system. The system will make it easier for passengers to plan their journey and make an automatic assessment of compensation eligibility for disrupted flights. The system will also make it possible to enforce passenger rights more quickly and effectively from carriers.
