Space.Cloud.Unit: Main sale postponed

01-18-2019 11:46 AM CET | IT, New Media & Software

Press release from: dal33t GmbH / PowerFolder

The main sale of the Space.Cloud.Unit (SCU), the world's first cloud construction kit based on blockchain technology, has been postponed indefinitely. CEO Christian Sprajc cited the currently changed mood with regard to ICOs and the sluggish, but necessary examination by official bodies as reasons for the changed schedule at the PowerFolder subsidiary SCU.

Düsseldorf, 18.01.2019 - After the highly satisfactory pre-sale of the Space.Cloud.Unit, which took place between October and mid-December 2018, the main sale was originally scheduled to start in mid-January. After careful consideration, however, the main sale has been postponed indefinitely, until further notice. SCU CEO and PowerFolder founder Christian Sprajc said, "Of course we want to achieve a good result with the main sale, in order to be able to guarantee the Space.Cloud.Unit the best possible start. In recent weeks and months, however, ICOs' worldwide willingness to invest has unfortunately slowed down more and more - on the one hand due to the inglorious cases of fraud with ICOs (ICO Exit Scams) that have become known in the recent past and, on the other hand, due to the long overdue consolidation of the crypto market. We therefore want to wait until the situation has eased again. In addition, the necessary audits by government agencies are taking longer than expected, in part because of the festive break. On the subject of "official support for ICOs", Germany is unfortunately still lagging far behind other European countries.

Work on SCU continues

Despite the postponed start date of the main sale, the work on the Space.Cloud.Unit under the leadership of PowerFolder continues undiminished. The focus is currently on product development and, in particular, on further improving the existing SCU prototype, which can already be downloaded from the Space.Cloud.Unit website (https://space-cloud-unit.io/de/), with a terabyte of storage space being made available free of charge for those wishing to try it out.

Therefore, we are still looking for additional developers, as well as general supporters of the project, including further private investors, whose interest would be welcomed at any time. Interested parties can contact the Space.Cloud.Unit via the contact form (https://space-cloud-unit.io/de/kontakt/) or by email (mail@space-cloud-unit.io).

About the Space.Cloud.Unit
With the world's first cloud construction kit, users can create their own cloud according to their own wishes and needs. At the heart of SCU is a virtual marketplace that brings together cloud space providers and cloud space seekers. The blockchain project is being developed by File Sync&Share specialist dal33t GmbH, who also created and operate PowerFolder, which has proven its worth for more than ten years. SCU is financed by a multi-stage ICO, an "Initial Coin Offering", in which self-generated tokens - the "SCU tokens" - are offered for sale. A new date for the postponed main sale will be announced in due time.
