Press release from: Quest CE

MILWAUKEE – November 8, 2010 – Quest Continuing Education Solutions (Quest CE) is proud to introduce their comprehensive Dodd-Frank Training Course, “Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act”. This course will be available in their Firm Element 2011 Course Library.

Initially proposed on December 2, 2009, by Christopher Dodd and Barney Frank, The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act was signed into law on July 21, 2010. The Act affects several areas of the U.S. financial services industry. The essentials of the Act are to provide for financial regulatory reform, to protect consumers and investors, to enhance federal understanding of insurance issues, to regulate the over-the-counter derivatives markets and for other purposes.

Due to the recent financial crisis, the objectives of the Act include restoring public confidence in the financial system, preventing another financial crisis, and allowing any future asset bubble to be detected and deflated before another financial crisis occurs.

The Dodd-Frank Act greatly increases regulation of the financial services industry. The Act gives U.S. governmental authorities more funding, information and power. In broad and significant areas, the Act empowers regulators with complete discretionary authority, to write and interpret new rules.

This course will cover:

•Orderly Liquidation Authority
•Key Measures to Address Systemic Risk
•Federal Reserve Emergency Credit
•Financial Institutions
•Regulation of Banking Organizations
•Volcker Rule
