Former Strength and Conditioning Coordinator of the Oakland A’s Takes Kosama Fitness Craze to Arizona

Judd Hawkins looks to bring his expertise in fitness and training to Kosama’s first Arizona location.

Judd Hawkins, 36, of Mesa, Arizona is the new manager and co-owner of Kosama Tempe/Chandler. Kosama Complete Body Transformation is a 10 week program designed to increase lean muscle mass and transform the body from the core out.

Judd recently left his position as the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for the Oakland Athletics, a position he had held for the last 5 years, in order to bring this one-of-a-kind, exciting new alternative fitness program to the Phoenix area.

Before working for the Athletics, Judd also spent time working in the minor league systems of the Cincinnati Reds and the Kansas City Royals. All in all, Judd has logged 10 years working as a strength and conditioning coach in professional baseball. He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), as well as the Professional Baseball Strength Coaches Society. Judd is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S) through the NSCA, which is widely considered as the gold standard for coaching certification in strength and conditioning.

Judd grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and attended college at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa where he studied Athletic Training. He attended graduate school at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa where he was a graduate assistant coach for the baseball team and also taught fitness classes while studying exercise physiology.

Judd has focused his career interests around strength and conditioning because he is passionate about helping people reach their full potential in regards to their health and lifestyle performance.
