Digital EE850 transmitter for CO2, humidity and temperature from E+E Elektronik.

Digital EE850 transmitter for CO2, humidity and temperature from E+E Elektronik.

The EE850 duct mount sensor from E+E Elektronik combines the CO2, relative humidity (RH) and temperature (T) measurement in a single device. The sensor can be easily integrated into a bus system via the RS485 interface (Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP). The 3-in-1 device is dedicated for building automation as well as for demanding process control.

The EE850 features the E+E dual wavelength NDIR CO2 sensing cell, which is particularly insensitive to contamination. The CO2 auto-calibration and temperature compensation lead to high accuracy and long-term stability over the entire working range of 0…10,000 ppm CO2 and -20 °C to +60 °C (-4...140 °F).

The RH and T sensing element located inside the probe is optimally protected from dust, dirt and corrosion by the proprietary E+E coating. The coating improves the measurement performance and long-term stability in harsh environment by preventing stray impedances caused by deposits on the active sensor surface.

The CO2, RH and T measured data as well as the calculated dew point temperature (Td) are available on the RS485 interface with Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP protocol. Alternatively, the EE850 features current and voltage outputs. The digital interface provides also other parameters such as absolute humidity (dv), mixing ratio (r), water vapor partial pressure (e) or enthalpy (h).

Configuration and adjustment can be performed with an optional adapter and the free EE-PCS configuration software.

The functional enclosure facilitates mounting the EE850 with closed cover. This protects the electronics from construction site pollution during installation. A mounting flange is included in the scope of supply.

E+E Elektronik develops and manufactures sensors and transmitters for humidity, temperature, dew point, moisture in oil, air velocity, flow, CO2 and pressure. Data loggers, hand-held measuring devices and calibration systems complete the comprehensive product portfolio of the Austrian sensor specialist. The main applications for E+E products lie in HVAC, building automation, industrial process control and the automotive industry. A certified quality management system according to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 ensures the highest quality standards. E+E Elektronik has a worldwide dealership network and representative offices in Germany, France, Italy, Korea, China and the United States. The accredited E+E calibration laboratory (OEKD) has been commissioned by the Austrian Federal Office for Metrology (BEV) to provide the national standards for humidity and air velocity.

Miniature Sensor Module Measures CO2, Temperature and Pressure
The new EE895 sensor module from E+E Elektronik measures CO2, temperature and ambient pressure. The small 3-in-1 module is an ideal choice for measuring instruments used for ventilation and climate control, in building automation or for process control. Due to its low power consumption, the module is also suitable for battery-operated devices such as hand-held meters, data loggers or wireless transmitters. The temperature and pressure compensation ensures high CO2 measurement
Humidity and Temperature Probe with Digital Interface
The EE072 by E+E Elektronik is a highly accurate humidity and temperature probe for demanding process and climate control tasks. The probe can be used for example in agriculture and livestock farming, the food and pharmaceutical industries or in clean rooms. The digital interface with the Modbus RTU or CANopen communication protocol facilitates the design-in of the EE072. Versatile in Use and Highly Accurate A wide temperature range of -40 to 80
4 in 1 Probe Measures CO2, Humidity, Temperature and Pressure
The EE872 from E+E Elektronik measures the CO2 concentration up to 5 % (50 000 ppm) as well as relative humidity, temperature and ambient pressure. Additionally, the 4 in 1 probe also calculates the dew point temperature. It is perfectly suited for use in harsh and aggressive environment, such as agricultural applications. The active pressure and temperature compensation ensures a very high CO2 measuring accuracy. A heated probe version is
New CO2 Sensor for Railway Applications
The EE8915 from E+E Elektronik meets all relevant railway standards for reliable CO2 measurement in railway vehicles, e.g. in the passenger compartment or driver's cab. On-board sensors ensure high CO2 measurement accuracy independently of temperature, altitude or weather conditions. Due to excellent measurement performance in harsh environment, the sensor is also suitable for demanding process and climate control. Long-Term Stable CO2 Measurement The E+E NDIR dual wavelength infrared measuring principle is particularly

Minimising CO2 Sensor Power Consumption
All GSS sensors use a technique called non‐ dispersive infra‐red (NDIR) sensing where light is injected into the optical measurement chamber, which contains the gas of interest. The light that passes through the optical cavity is detected by the photo diode. The signal from the photo‐diode is digitised by the microcontroller and compared with a reference level stored in memory. The microcontroller can then calculate the level of CO2
Bacteria as CO2 recycling powerhouse
E. coli can live and feed on formate & methanol: Scientists from the Max Planck Institute (Germany) have reached a significant breakthrough presented in their recent Nature Chemical Biology publication. Their research for EU project eForFuel has redesigned the model biotechnological bacteria Escherichia coli (E. coli) to live and feed on methanol and formate: a possibility that serves as a stepping stone towards future endeavors aiming at recycling CO2 into various
