Clarence-Henry Books Introduces Rudy and Cirrus of Karma, a New Children's Picture Book by R. M. Smith, November 15, 2010

Rudy is an older brother who likes to bully his little brother and sister and sometimes lies to his mom. One day he breaks his mom's treasured vase and blames it on his brother and sister. They get in trouble and he's off the hook. His mom sends him on an errand and he trips into a hole where he finds a vase similar to the one he broke. He picks it up and out comes a cloud or fog that becomes a creature that offers him three wishes. An excerpt reads: Rudy looked up, and towering over his head, he saw the strange cloud, and froze as it said, "I'm Cirrus of Karma, I've three wishes to grant you. Make the first this instant, or you'll have only two." He ends up using all three wishes just to save himself when he runs into a series of imagined events. He falls into another hole while running away from monstrous versions of his little brother and sister. Once in the hole he looks up and sees his real brother and sister along with his mom. They help him out and he feels bad and apologizes about breaking the vase and laying the blame. Rudy learns a lesson of consideration and respect amongst his family which hopefully will carry over to the people he meets in his life.
